About Ruminations

Ruminations.com is a free, interactive community of people writing what they're thinking. Simply put, it's Digg meets Twitter meets Seinfeld.

The site was founded in August 2008 by author and comedian Aaron Karo, who began writing a humorous email column entitled Ruminations in 1997 that has now been read by hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

A "rumination" is a short, funny, original observation or anecdote.

After registering at Ruminations.com, you can write your own ruminations and share them with the community.

If you read a rumination that you like, you can rate it as gourmet by clicking the gourmet this button. "Gourmet" is a term coined by Karo that means "awesome." The most gourmet ruminations rise to the top on the front page of the site.

You can also comment on ruminations that you like and read comments that others have posted about your ruminations. Finally, if someone on the site keeps writing ruminations that you think are gourmet, you can become their fan. Whenever someone you're a fan of posts a new rumination, it will show up on the "fan feed" tab on your homepage.
